Tim Menghini, BSc (Hons), BSc (Hons), BVM&S, FHEA, MRCVS, Practice Limited to Surgery is a veterinarian at Veterinary Medical And Surgical Group–OC (VMSG-OC) in Orange County.

Dr. Tim Menghini was born and raised in the UK where he earned degrees in Neuroscience and Veterinary Medicine & Surgery from The University of Edinburgh, Scotland. He has been a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) since 2017.

After graduation, he went on to complete a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at The University of Prince Edward Island, Canada. He then moved to the USA where he completed a three-year American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS)-approved residency in small animal surgery at The University of Madison-Wisconsin in 2020.

Dr. Menghini then worked in private practice in Arizona before being appointed a clinical lecturer in surgery at The University of Edinburgh in 2022. For his teaching acumen he was awarded a prestigious Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) in 2023.

Dr. Menghini is very excited to be completing his dream move to Southern California to be able to offer high-quality referral surgical services to clients at VMSG-OC. He takes pride in being able use his skills to help improve the lives of patients (and their loved ones) at what is often a difficult time.

Tim is interested in soft tissue surgery but has a particular clinical interest in minimally invasive surgery (MIS) and surgical oncology for companion animals. He is trained to perform various ‘keyhole’ surgeries including thoracoscopy and laparoscopy.

In his spare time Tim enjoys working out, watching history or true crime documentaries, supporting his favourite soccer team (Arsenal), and relaxing with his two pet cats – Cliff (pictured) and Cassie.
