Carolyn Briggs, DVM, Diplomate ACVIM, is a board-certified internal medicine specialist at Veterinary Medical And Surgical Group–OC (VMSG-OC) in Orange County. 

Dr. Carolyn Briggs became a board certified Diplomate of the American College of Internal Medicine in 2000 following completion of a residency program in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the University of California, Davis. Dr. Briggs was born and raised in Canada where she earned her Veterinary Degree from the Ontario Veterinary College and completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island. Dr. Briggs also worked at a busy private practice in Washington State. Since earning her board certification, Dr. Briggs has been a dedicated Small Animal Internist in Southern California where she also served as a professor at Stanbridge College and was key in development of the Pharmacology and the Small Animal Medicine courses.

Dr. Briggs enjoys all aspects of internal medicine and is trained to perform various endoscopic procedures including esophagoscopy, gastroduodenoscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, rhinoscopy, cystoscopy, and vaginoscopy. She also has additional training in tracheal stent placement. 

Dr. Briggs is a firm believer in high-quality medicine and is dedicated to going above and beyond to make sure her patients receive the highest care possible. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, volunteering, and cultural activities.
